There's a cheetah downstairs, in for its annual checkup. It's screaming the screams of a small child throwing a tantrum: angry, scared and futile. It's stopped now, I hope they got the anaesthesia in.

In other news, see knitblog for updates on projects (if you care) and a report on yesterday's Train Ride From Hell (tm).

Also, why do people leave till the last minute to RSVP to something? It seems like they're waiting till the last possible moment to commit, in case something better comes up. Granted, I didn't put a "RSVP by" date, but if you know you're free on that day why not just fire off a quick reply when the invite arrives saying that you'll be there? It annoys me. Perhaps it's the usual lame Cape Town habit of not RSVPing to stuff and assuming that the person can smell that you'll be there. If I put an event on Facebook will people RSVP*? If an event is not documented on Facebook and there are no pictures, did it really happen?

* Some people are of the opinion that unless it's on Facebook it's not happening.

It is not cape town, it is people in general have got out of the habit.
Getting RSVP's for our wedding was a nightmare!

Sorry :( I'm a prime offender. It's bad inbox management, I do it with everything. I think "ah, must reply to that, but will read these other new mails first" and then the replies don't happen. We'll be at meet and greet as well as your thing.
